Ireland: Old Season

Image
Today's band of the day is Old Season. They are a heavy metal band that formed in the early 2000s from Athy, Kildare in Ireland. I had a really good time jamming to their tracks, I even decided to buy one of their albums from their Bandcamp. If this is down your alley then you should too! Bandcamp is absolutely a great way to support metal bands. One of my favorite new discoveries for 2023. Germany: Oomph!

German metal band of the day is Oomph! I must admit, I was aware of the name of this band. It was usually name dropped along the same sentiment when Rammestein came up but for some reason or another I just never sought out their music. Came across it a few months ago and it's quite the banger. Band: OOMPH! Song: "Augen Auf"

Indonesia: Voice of Baceprot

Today's Indonesian Metal Band of the Day is an all girl band, Voice of Baceprot. I've seen their name around the corners of the internet and I finally got around to check them out. Insanely deep lyrics and extremely talented members of this group. After checking out a few of their songs, I really dig  [NOT] Public Property  and I highly encourage you to check these women out! Egypt: Riverwood

As I didn't know much about Egyptian horror movies existed the same sentiment went for metal as well. New discovery with this band and I really dig it. Not really a fan of folk metal but these guys are awesome, so please give them a listen! They got beautiful solos in this song in particular. Definitely recommended for fans of melodic death metal. Japan: Necronomidol

Image
Today's Japanese metal band of the day is Necronomidol. Yeah, I had to double check that too. I came across this band on Spotify back when I had Premium and just listened to a lot of Japanese metal recommendations for days. This was a new one that popped up for me and I was blown away.  They are apparently a metal idol group. Didn't know that was a thing. There's a lot of things I don't know. They seem to have a lot of lineup changes though. They are like a heavier and less mainstream version of Babymetal. I love Babymetal but Necronomidol totally kicks ass so please give them a chance and listen to a few of their songs! USA: Dry Kill Logic

Your American metal band of the day is Dry Kill Logic. They are a nu metal band that had some modest popularity in the mid 2000s. This was back before I was really into the internet much as far as discovering music. I was a teenager around this time and just bought and listened to a lot of CD's. There was a metal compilation in which this exact track was on. My way of getting music on my computer was to literally make copies from CD's to desktop. It was legit not through pirating or any other frowned upon ways. I think eventually companies started to crack down somewhat on what can and cannot be copies since this was basically what dominoed into people seeding stuff like this? idk I'm getting carried away just listen to this long lost gem that needs some love!
