USA: Sevendust

Today's American metal band of the day is Sevendust! If you want to be technical they may not exactly be "metal" by certain people's standards and also depending on what album you're listening to. They're not soft at all, just want to make that clear but they do have plenty of slower and melodic ballads like "Angel's Son" (one of my favorites actually) but without a doubt they play a lot of heavy shit.

Can you believe they are still kicking ass for nearly 30 years?! They're amazing, I remember seeing them live back in 2004ish when they toured with Ill Nino, Element Eighty, Life of Agony and Apartment 26. They are fucking amazing live!!

As of this writing, this is one of their recent music videos that just came out! I love it, it has a Three Little Pigs vibe to it. Between me and you, my favorite Sevendust songs areTrust, Denial and Broken Down

India: Bloodywood

Yes, there is a such thing as metal coming from India. This was the first band I came across and they totally blew my mind! The man who started it all had very humble beginnings and worked hard to have the band that exists today. He self produced his own documentary a few years ago detailing how it all startedn along with the obstacles along the way. Very inspiring and I highly recommend you guys to watch it as it's entertaining and funny as hell too!  Raj Against the Machine  such a clever title! Enjoy this song hoping it will be the first of many you will hear from them!
